Dr Peter J. Kruithof

Dr Peter J. Kruithof is the Director of NeuroHealth & Systems Advisory Ltd. He is a public health specialist with a focus on neurocognitive conditions, addiction, and the design and performance of health and social care systems.

His work centres on the pathways to diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care for individuals with complex needs, particularly in relation to Alcohol Related Brain Damage (ARBD) and Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). His doctoral research examined how these pathways are experienced and enacted by professionals, identifying structural barriers and gaps in service provision.

He brings combined expertise from academia, frontline social care, and international public health. His academic roles have included lecturing in public health and healthcare management, contributing to curriculum development, and supervising postgraduate research. Alongside this, he has practical experience working with individuals affected by addiction, mental health conditions, and long-term cognitive impairment.

As Director, he leads on all consultancy, research, and training activities. His role involves advising organisations on commissioning, service design, and system improvement, with a focus on translating evidence into structured, operational solutions within health and social care systems.
